This is a Clement No 1 Variety Saw. Sitting next to a Clement sander on it’s way to the back of the shop to work beside the No 20 USB. I had one of these years ago and regretted giving it away.

The table elevates with the hand wheel. the tilt of the table is manual. Later saws went to a crank tilt. This saw originally had a boring attachment on the right hand side. A simple manual feed affair.

I have had one part from the old saw laying around. The “horse shoe”. Now I have all that goes with it.

The horse shoe units the two fences into a sled.

The rip fence rail is nicely calibrated. The iron insert is well designed.
